Farm Manager, Trainee Manager, 3 Farm Technicians

Due to the re-opening of Marine Harvest’s existing Seawater site at Skipport in South Uist, we are seeking to fill the following posts:

Farm Manager – Salary (£25,543 - £41,436)

The successful candidate will be expected to help drive and implement best practice and operational excellence to satisfy the high quality product and environmental standards demanded by our customers. Principle responsibilities will include feed & stock management, harvest & grading planning, asset management, people resource, performance and HSEQ management.<br><br>Potential candidates should have at least three years practical knowledge and experience of fish farming and will have held a supervisory position for at least two years.  Initiative, the ability to motivate others, good organisation skills, computer literacy, a strong desire and proven ability to achieve results without close supervision are some of the necessary skills required for this post.<br><br>Trainee Manager – Salary dependent on experience

Applications are invited from individuals who are genuinely interested in developing their career within the organisation.  Potential candidates should have at least two to three years practical knowledge and experience of fish farming. Leadership combined with strong inter-personal, planning and computer skills as well as a proven ability to achieve results without close supervision are some of the necessary skills required for this post.<br><br>The successful candidate will be expected to train initially at the Company’s site at Skipport with the potential to move to the Company’s new open sea sites around Barra. In addition they will be expected to attend the necessary training courses to gain sufficient knowledge on feed & stock management, harvest & grading planning, asset management, performance and HSEQ management.<br><br>3 Farm Technicians – Salary - £15,508 - £19,675

The successful applicant will be required to carry out a variety of duties including feeding, net changing and other general farm tasks, and be willing to work flexibly to meet the demands of the job.
