Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organisation

The Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation is seeking to appoint an experienced and high calibre person who will play a central role in contributing to the organisation’s scientific, technical and regulatory programmes of work. 

The post is based at the SSPO’s offices in Perth, but will also involve participation in meetings and other activities elsewhere.

The person appointed is likely to have a background in bio-statistics, biological or aquaculture science and to be appropriately qualified, with relevant post-qualification experience. Familiarity with data gathering and analysis software packages used in the salmon farming industry would be an advantage. Research experience and/or experience of working in a specialist technical role would be desirable and there will be a strong preference for candidates with knowledge and experience of the finfish aquaculture industry or a related industry. Familiarity with regulatory affairs or government policy would also be an advantage.
